Description

The passing of Hafiz Zayn al-Din Abu al-Faraj Abd al-Rahman ibn Rajab al-Hanbali in Damascus. He was a leading Hanbali scholar and hadith expert, best known for his commentary on the Forty Hadith of Hadrat Imam Nawawi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, titled Jami al-Ulum wa al-Hikam, which expanded the collection to 50 hadiths with extensive commentary. He also authored Lata'if al-Ma'arif on the virtues of different times and seasons.
