Description

The passing of Hafiz Hadrat Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, one of the greatest hadith scholars in Islamic history. His monumental Fath al-Bari (14 volumes) is the most authoritative commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari. He served as chief Shafi'i judge of Egypt and authored over 150 works. His death was mourned throughout the Muslim world, with even the Sultan and all judges attending his funeral.
