Description

The passing of Sultan Mehmed II (Muhammad al-Fatih), the conqueror of Constantinople and one of the greatest Muslim rulers in history. He fulfilled the Prophet ﷺic prophecy about the conquest of Constantinople. He was a patron of learning, spoke multiple languages, and transformed Istanbul into a centre of Islamic civilisation. He died during preparations for another military campaign.
