Birth
Grandson of Imam Husayn (radi Allahu anhu) and son of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (rahmatullahi alayh). Also the fifth Shaykh of the Qadiriyyah Ridawiyyah 'Attariyyah spiritual chain. He is buried in Jannat al-Baqi'.
al-Baqir — The one who splits open knowledge — deeply learned
