Biography
Hadrat Imam al-Jazuli (rahimahullah) was a Moroccan scholar and saint of the ninth century AH. After his early studies he spent forty years in Makkah Mukarramah, Madinah Munawwarah and Jerusalem, then returned to Morocco and established his zawiya in Afwiral in the Sus region, which became a centre of spirituality attracting over twelve thousand disciples. He is best known as the author of Dala'il al-Khayrat, the celebrated collection of salutations upon the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), which he published in Fez. He passed away in Afwiral and was buried inside his zawiya; when his blessed body was moved seventy-seven years later, it was found unchanged.
