Biography
Abu Abd al-Rahman Ahmad ibn Shu'ayb al-Nasa'i (214-303 AH / 829-915 CE) was a renowned hadith scholar and compiler of the Sunan al-Nasa'i, one of the six canonical hadith collections. Born in Nasa, Khorasan (present-day Turkmenistan), he is regarded as having the most stringent criteria for hadith authentication among the compilers of the six books. He was also known for his deep love and devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet's family) and authored works in their defence.
