A major scholar of the Jews who embraced Islam during the caliphate of Sayyiduna Umar b. al-Khattab (radi Allahu anhu). He was alive during the era of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He passed away in 32 AH in Homs (Syria).
