“There are three categories of people: 1) The people of close proximity — they have been consistently performing good deeds from the very beginning and continue to do so until they pass away. 2) The Ahl al-Yamin (People of the right side, i.e., Paradise) — they began their lives in sin and negligence, but later repented. 3) The As'haab al-Shimal (people of the left side, i.e., Hellfire) — they spent their entire lives in sin and died without repenting.”
