Received Ijazah in six major Sufi spiritual orders

Received spiritual authorisation in the Qadiri, Shadhili, Naqshbandi, Rifai, Chishti, and Suhrawardi tariqas, connecting him to the great chains of spiritual masters

~1289 AH (1872 CE)

Appointed as Ottoman judge (Qadi) in Beirut

Served with distinction in the Ottoman judiciary in the courts of Beirut for approximately 20 years, earning a reputation for justice and scholarship

Retired from the judiciary to devote himself to writing

Authored this landmark work defending the Ahl-e-Sunnat practice of seeking intercession through the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the saints, refuting Wahhabi objections with evidence from the Quran, hadith, and scholarly consensus

  • Devoted the latter part of his life entirely to writing and worship, retiring from the judiciary to focus on serving Islam through his pen
  • Compiled extensive collections of salawat (blessings upon the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) demonstrating his deep love for the Beloved Messenger
  • Despite his high judicial position, maintained a life of simplicity and devotion, consistently defending traditional Islamic beliefs against modernist and Wahhabi challenges
