Sayyidah Zaynab bint Muhammad
(Radiyallahu Anha) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهَا
The eldest daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
- ◈The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'She is the most superior of my daughters (in this regard) because she faced many difficulties in migrating to me' — the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) singled her out for praise due to her endurance of great tribulation during the migration to Madinah

- ◈When she passed away, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) presented his waist-wrapper as her shroud and placed her into the grave with his own blessed hands

Lady Zaynab (radi Allahu anha) endured great tribulation during the migration to Madinah. Due to the hardships she faced, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared her the most superior of his daughters in terms of what she endured for his sake
When she passed away, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) presented his own waist-wrapper as her shroud and placed her into the grave with his own blessed hands — a mark of immense love and honour
Her son, named Ali, was named by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). According to one report, he passed away after reaching close to the age of maturity, during the lifetime of his mother. Some genealogists claim he was martyred during the Battle of Yarmuk
Her daughter was named Umamah (radi Allahu anha). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved her dearly — he would carry her on his shoulders to Masjid al-Nabawi. The king of Abyssinia, Najashi (rahmatullahi alayh), sent a gold ring with an Abyssinian jewel to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the gold ring to Sayyidah Umamah (radi Allahu anha). The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also gave a beautiful gold necklace to her, calling her the person most beloved to him
