The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) belonged to the most honourable of lineages. He (peace and blessings be upon him) himself said: 'Allah Almighty made Kinanah noble from amongst the progeny of Sayyiduna Ismail (peace be upon him), and chose Quraish from amongst Kinanah, and chose Banu Hashim from amongst Quraish, and chose me from amongst Banu Hashim.'
