The wisdom behind the blessed sons' demise in childhood is expressed in the verse of the famous Sahabi, Sayyiduna Hassan bin Sabit (may Allah be pleased with him): 'The son of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed this life. He had a good end and remained faultless. If he had been alive, he would have been equal to him in high status — but Allah Almighty decreed that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remains incomparable and unique.'
