The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived at Quba on 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, and the 'Amr Bin 'Auf tribe was the fortunate tribe that he first granted the privilege to host him. He stayed at the house of Sayyiduna Kulthoom Bin Hidm, one of the chiefs of this tribe. He then entered Madinah al-Munawarrah, to the rejoicing of its people.
