The Treaty of Hudaybiyah in 6 Hijri, though seemingly one-sided in its conditions, was referred to as 'Fath Mubeen' — a clear victory — in the Holy Quran. Conditions included: Muslims to return without performing Umrah that year; they could return the following year for three days; no fighting for ten years; Arab tribes could choose their alliances freely; any Muslim from Makkah going to Madinah would be returned.
