Beyond Sidrat al-Muntaha, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reached the station of Mustawa, then beyond the 'Arsh to a station called La Makan — where time and place themselves had ceased. Here, Allah Almighty bestowed upon His beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) such a special nearness that no other has attained nor shall attain. He saw Allah Almighty, in a wakeful state, with the blessed eyes of his blessed head, and attained the honour of speaking with Allah Almighty directly.
