"The most difficult day of his life" — Sayyidatuna 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) once asked the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Have you ever faced a day more difficult than Uhud?" He replied: "Yes, 'A'ishah! The day I invited a leader in Ta'if to Islam; that day was more severe for me than Uhud. The angel of the mountains came and said: 'O Muhammad! If you wish me to bring the two mountains upon these disbelievers, I will do so.' He (peace and blessings be upon him) responded: 'No. I instead hope Allah will bring out from their descendants those who worship Allah alone.'"
