The Quranic verse Al-Ahzab 33:40 declares: 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.' This is the primary Quranic proof of the finality of prophethood. The Arabic biographical statement attests: 'Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the Seal of the Prophets — there is no Prophet after him. His birthplace is Makkah and his place of Hijra is Taybah (Madinah).'
