The Holy Quran declares the titles of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Surah Al-Ahzab 45-46: Nabi (Prophet), Shahid (Witness), Mubashshshir (Bringer of Glad Tidings), Nadhir (Warner), Da'i ila Allah (Caller to Allah), and Sirajan Munira (Illuminating Lamp). The title Sirajan Munira — the luminous lamp — is specifically highlighted by scholars as a mark of his supreme honour in the Quran.
