In the 11th year of migration, on the 20th or 22nd of Safar, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to Jannat-ul-Baqi at midnight. When he returned from there, he started feeling unwell. His health further deteriorated in the next few days. With the permission of all of his blessed wives, he stayed in the blessed room of Sayyidatuna 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). When he felt very weak, he ordered for Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to lead Salah on his prayer mat. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) led seventeen Salahs during this time.
