A little while before his blessed passing, Sayyiduna Abdul Rahman bin Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the brother of Sayyidatuna 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), came with a fresh Miswak in his hand. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) looked at him, his blessed gaze fixated. Sayyidatuna 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) understood that he wished for the Miswak. She immediately took the Miswak, made it soft with her teeth and placed it in his blessed hand, after which, he performed Miswak.
