يَوْم عَرَفَة

The most blessed day of the year. Standing at Arafah is the pillar of Hajj. Fasting on this day expiates two years of sins.

The verse was revealed: 'Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen Islam as your way of life.'

خُطْبَة ٱلْوَدَاع

During the Farewell Hajj on the plains of Arafat, the Prophet Hadrat Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) ﷺ delivered his final major address to over 100,000 Companions. He declared the sanctity of life, property, and honour; abolished all practices of the pre-Islamic era; affirmed the equality of all people regardless of race; established the rights of women; and commanded the Muslims to hold fast to the Quran and Sunnah. He asked: 'Have I conveyed the message?' and the people testified that he had.
