The passing of Imam Hadrat Hasan al-Basri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, one of the most renowned Tabi'een (Successors) and a towering figure in early Islamic scholarship and spirituality. Born in the household of Sayyidah Umm Salamah in Madinah, he settled in Basra where he became the most influential scholar of his generation. His funeral prayers were so widely attended that the Asr prayer in the masjid that day was empty — all the people had gone to his funeral.
