Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was one of the earliest converts to Islam and one of the greatest Quran reciters among the Companions. The Prophet said: 'Learn the Quran from four people' and named him first. He was the keeper of the Prophet's sandals and walking staff. He served as the judge and treasurer of Kufa and his method of Quran recitation influenced the Hanafi school.
