The passing of Sayyiduna Hadrat Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (Radiyallahu Anhu) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ in al-Rabadha, near Madinah. He was one of the earliest converts to Islam (some say the fourth or fifth) and was known for his extreme asceticism and outspoken advocacy for the rights of the poor. The Prophet said about him: 'There is no one under the sky and over the earth who is more truthful than Abu Dharr.' He died in poverty with only his wife present.
