Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junadah al-Ghifari was one of the earliest converts to Islam and was renowned for his absolute truthfulness. The Prophet said: 'There is no one under the sky and over the earth who is more truthful than Abu Dharr.' He was an outspoken advocate for social justice and the rights of the poor, and chose a life of extreme simplicity and asceticism.
