The great Imam and founder of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence returned to his Lord in Baghdad.

Imam Hadrat Jafar al-Sadiq (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ passed away.

مِيلَاد ٱلْإِمَام ٱلشَّافِعِي

The birth of Imam Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i in Gaza, Palestine. He was born in the same year that Imam Abu Hanifa passed away (150 AH). He would go on to found the Shafi'i school of jurisprudence and author Al-Risala, the first systematic treatise on the principles of Islamic jurisprudence (Usul al-Fiqh). He studied under Imam Malik in Madinah and Imam Muhammad al-Shaybani in Iraq.

The passing of Sayyidah Hadrat Zaynab bint Ali (Radiyallahu Anha) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهَا, the granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. After the tragedy of Karbala, she showed extraordinary courage and eloquence, delivering powerful speeches in the courts of Kufa and Damascus that preserved the truth of what happened. Her patience and steadfastness in the face of immense suffering exemplify the highest ideals of Islamic faith.
